Accommodation at Balbirnie House

If you're staying at Balbirnie, please note a few things about the hotel:
Check-in is from 2pm
To make use of the free guest parking, remember to register your car's number plate on arrival using the screen at reception.
We've been advised that the hotel usually add a 10% service charge to all bar payments - please be aware that this is discretionary!
It is not permitted to consume food or drink bought outwith the hotel within the bedrooms. Any guests bringing alcohol that has been purchased outside of the hotel will be subject to the following corkage fees:
£25.00 per bottle of wine
£25.00 per bottle of sparkling wine
£32.00 per bottle of prosecco
£40.00 per bottle of champagne
Travelling to the venue
Balbirnie House is accessible by car on all GPS devices. Free parking is available onsite (remember to register your number plate in reception!)
Balbirnie House is about 45 minutes drive from Edinburgh Airport.
For day guests, the ceremony venue is approximately 40 minutes drive from Balbirnie.
The closest train station to Balbirnie House is Markinch (20-minute walk or 5-minute taxi).
The train station serving St Andrews is Leuchars. From there, you can take a service 99 bus (~15 minutes) or a taxi to St Andrews.
Both train stations can be reached directly from Edinburgh Waverley. Train tickets can be purchased before boarding via Scotrail or Trainline.
Buses in Edinburgh and Fife take contactless payments for tickets.
A coach will be running between Balbirnie House and St Andrews on the day of the wedding for anyone who told us they'd like to use it. All timings are given on The Big Day
